Short Films & Documentary

I’m constantly keeping an eye out for interesting stories and people.
Get in touch if you have a story to tell. It’s also an excellent marketing tool for people and businesses that don’t want a corporate video but need to get information across to an audience without being….well, corporate.

My main goal is to get the emotion out of the situation and environment to create something that will connect with people.

IMG_7485 3Man of the Mountains: Behind the Scenes of ‘Helvellyn’ with Terry Abraham.

I spent a short time with Terry Abraham as he was deep into the filming of the final film in his fantastic ‘Life of a Mountain…’ trilogy. The first being Scafell Pike, then Blencathra and now finishing up on Helvellyn.

He has a great story, his dedication and attention to detail are second to none. He’s the first to admit he’s obsessed with getting the right shots in the right conditions and the results are stunning. The first two films were a big hit on BBC Four, with a longer full-length version on Blu-ray/DVD. The “proper version” as Terry calls them.

This short documentary produced by Knight Sky Films gives an insight into the process and mindset required to spend a year on and around the Lakeland fells, telling the story of a mountain and the people of Cumbria in its shadow.

The Spring Snow Disaster
An old film that looks a little dated now but an interesting and important story. This film really helped shine a light on what was a devastating time for British farming and a great example of what this type of short film can do for an industry, business or person.

It was viewed around 50,000 times online and used in news stories for Sky News and Channel 4 – which I supplied for free to help spread awareness.
