Sharing your story through video

Video is a way of sharing information like no other.
It has the power to make us laugh, cry, to make us think, to educate and to inspire us.

At our heart Knight Sky Films are story tellers and we aim to weave stories through everything we do.

For TV this is done in the likes of BBC1’s The Travelling Auctioneers.
Matt has been a Producer/Director on the show for 3 series now – available on iPlayer here.

Light Up a Life: Pendleside Hospice
Closer to home is our work with with local institution Pendleside Hospice for their annual Light Up A Life.

A big part of the event is the video screening featuring a family sharing their story of a loved one and their experience with the hospice.

The videos are incredibly heartfelt and emotional but play an important role of remembering a loved one and reminding people of the incredible service the hospice provides.

The clip here is a short edit for a 6 minute film produced by Knight Sky Films.

The Spring Snow Disaster
This is a heartbreaking yet incredibly important film about farmer Gareth Wyn Jones who overnight lost hundreds of his sheep as they were buried under huge snow drifts. Upon reading a short post on social media Matt headed down to Wales in a bid to help the story reach a wider audience, spreading awareness of how hard Britain’s farmers work. Across all platforms the video has had around 60,000 views with clips being shown on Sky News and Channel 4.
